shape man documenting


shape man assignment




the game im creating is called shape man which is similar to PAC man you have 5 basic shapes 3 lives and aload of enemy that you got to kill in order to get a score on the right is a little sketch of the main room as you can see the shapes in each corner are the one you touch to change shape so is the yellow square in the middle
on the right of the picture below the pentagon is the pills/bombs which you collect for score the square next to the pentagon is the player and the triangle with the arrows is the mob you have to kill. i have drew in the places for the score and the three hearts represent the lives also the 1 in the middle is for a clue of the next enemy mob.

for testing my brother alex did it and he gave me a couple of things to improve number one was the little wall glitch tat always happens and is really annoying and i think if i set it to bounce off the object then it might fix the problem the second was the mobs placing he suggested making them more spread out for a better chance of winning the game and the final one was to slow the walls down abit on the third level and change the sprites to something more interesting and animate them.

as you can see in the game it works well but there's been a few glitches ive found one is the walls you can get stuck in them but its fixable also the score goes a bit dodgy some times and the last one is when you change shape sometimes your shape just disappears.
