fps	Fps is a short way of saying first person shooter this is a game where the character you play the camera is in there head  the idea of these games is mainly to do with killing someone or something as these are mostly action	Call of duty-black ops 2 This is a first person shooter that’s on a lot of platforms and it’s a popular game for people to play as it has zombies and online as well. Games like this are quite popular to play all over the world. battlefield 4 this game is also another first person shooter that can currently be played across many platforms and it features a campaign and multilayer mode that you can play with your friends in a squad of 5 also the game is based on warfare and is extremely photo-realistic with everything from nature to characters and vehicles.
Racing	A racing game is a game that you can race on these usually are car racing and the camera can be changed from first person to third. Also some of these games are across platforms where others are base around one.	Forza horizon 2 This is a car racing game that has loads of purchasable cars and also cars you can find also you can vary the camera between first person third person (3 different distances) and bumper view. This game also has online for you to race you friends and a has a variety of different races to choose from. test drive unlimited 2 this is a racing game that you can do many different races like circuit and time trial also in this game you can buy houses but you cant do much in them. there is a dlc that you can download called the casino pack, in this you can gamble you money to win to buy more cars this game is quite old as it was realesed nearly 5 years ago.
Sports	A sports game is a game that is made and based around the sports that we play in reality most of these are third person and range through a wide rand of sports like basketball football and golf.	Fifa 15 Fifa 15 is a third person game that is based around football and it has a few different game play modes and this consist of the offline mode and then there is two online ones to. wii sports this game is a  sports game that was given to the peopl that purchased the Nintendo wii. this game features 5 different sports(tenis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing). also the game has a training mode where you can practice playing the sports and is has a fitness mode to
horror	These games can be either first or third person and are based around thriller type games like games featuring zombies/mutants or ghosts	Alien isolation Alien isolation is a first person survival horror that is based around the movie franchise alien it has 4 main characters in the game and the alien as well also is story can seem quite scary and jumpy in places as the aliens sometimes come out of nowhere and it can be incredibly scary slender slender is a first person game that involves hunting for clues whilst the character slender walks around the map searching for you and if he caches you its game over but its dark and he can appear when he likes.
Rpg	An Rpg is a role playing game  that follows the  role of the character you play throughout the game these games are usually either fantasy or science fiction	Fall out-new Vegas Fallout-new Vegas is a retro futuristic sort of game that is based in America its story line is based around a war between china and America which set off a nuclear winter and created mutants the main characters job was to deliver a platinum chip to Mr house but got attacked and there are a few gangs and the army like people called ncr . Also the game can be played in third or first person. skirim this is a rpg game that has a fantasy game that is based about a you playing as a character that you use to participate in quests that you got to complete in order to complete the game. this game also features a online mode
adventure	An adventure game is a game where the player plays a fantasy role in the game but it has an adventure based story line	The walking dead The walking dead is a game that is first person and it is a zombie/infection type game featuring a range of characters. The game itself is based on the television program and there has been a game released for each different season of the program. tomb raider this is a game that was realesed in 2013 and also has a multiplayer game mode also in the game you play as the lead character lara croft as you complete puzzles and quests to finnd lost places/items.
Sand box	A sand box game is a game that involves the player to build or edit the world that you play in	Mine craft Mine craft is a game that can be played in third or first person and has 3 different game modes (creative, survival and adventure mode) The game is base around building and editing and most of the game is made of cubes also the game allows online so you can play with your friends and build crazy things.
plat former	A plat former game that is 2d and involves basic animation where the characters climb ladders and jump.	Super Mario Super Mario is a 2d plat former that is one of the most popular game for the hole Nintendo platform the game involves jumping and going in to green pipes and you can also jump kill bad guys.  sonic sonic is a plat former game developed by saga the aim of the game is to get your character threw the levels in order to complete the game it is similer to mario but you have to collect rings and work you way through different obsticles
Strategy	A strategy game is a game that has to be played in like a stealthy sort of way or a planned sort of game	War of tanks War of tanks is a game that involves tanks. The plot of the game is to use a tank to destroy others but if you’re not care full you die also it can be played in first or third person and many people play the game across 3 different platforms (psn xbox live and pc) halo wars halo wars is a game that is apart of the game franchise halo but is different to the others because it is a birds eye view war game that uses the franchises characters this game was only released on the Xbox 360 the aim is to defete you enemy
mmo	Mmo game is a massive multiplayer online game that is played simultaneously by people all over the world and some of them you can talk	Dayz Dayz is an open world survival game that involves surviving against zombies the plot is to stay strong healthy and quick to survive the game is also played in third person. mag mag is a huge mmo game for playstation. the game is a warfare game that you can compete in different game modes which are played on big maps its is a good oline game to play with others.

-gaming is good in some ways for example playing a game can improve your hand eye coordination and you will be a lot better with your reactions. -playing video games helps you improve your creativity the more you play them. Also can help with their problem solving skills http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2011-11/msu-vgp110211.php -developing reading and maths skills When someone reads the instructions they are developing better reading skills -playing a video game can help improve a gamers concentration when they concentrate on the game they are playing. -if the game you are playing is a simulation then that can help you develop real life skills for example the game Sims castaway is good for learning survival skills. -management is another skill you gain when it comes to playing games when you play games like “tycoons” these help you develop management skills. -brain training game on the Nintendo ds are good for your educational skills which can help you prepare for your exams -taking risks to win any game you will need to take a risk for you to win this could help you in real like situations. -perseverance when you play a hard level you will want to complete it this is good for tasks given by people or work at school.

-social isolation this is a bad thing because some gamers are inside all day long playing on games and they never go out this can cause many issues regarding confidence with people in social places. The problem is that playing without brakes can result in health risks. This is why you have to have a brake when playing them. -young people that play games rated 18 can tend to pick up bad language which can offend some people in reality which can cause problems when said to the wrong people. -cost playing video games can cost people quite alot of money for people as the hardware costs hundreds which aint a good thing when people are peer pressured to buy the latest games. -confusion with reality some young people can for get that some things in games are fake (not real) and they may do stupid things. -some video games teach the wrong thing to people the wrong thing and some people will think that the wrong thing is the write thing . young people that play games all night can effect there education and could effect there life when they leave education.

battle of the ocean
This game is a shooter which uses a scroll function but its based around a survival and you have to stay flying for as long as you can but, as you progress it gets harder and you can pic up power ups also there will be a range of fighter jets to chose from each one dose different amounts of damage. The map is based in the ocean set on a navel warfare and there will also be a leader board. there is no main character because there are about 4 different planes. there will be a island where you can go to fight the boss which is going to be a battle ship after you reach over 10000 score and its 10 per kill. this game will go until you kill the boss then you win. the player is a f16 jet fighter as you progress you will have your score go up and you will also have 3 lifes. the goal is to get to the target of 10,000 points to get a chance to kill the battle ship and win the game.

my first sprite is the player plane which you use to shoot the enemy planes

i have 2 enemy sprites which retern fire an will try and kill you if you get hit its game over

there is a power up called copper attack which makes a chopper appear and it will destroy the enemy planes as back up.

there are three different islands which give out a different power up the volcano will call in the copper attack the second will give you health and the third will give you better amunition

your health will go down 10 every time you get hit and if you get hit ten time you losse a life at the start of the game you get 3 life's and if your reach the target you will have to destroy the battle ship

this is a term that is used when you get a file and squash it into a file of a smaller size for example the file format jpg compresses a image into one that's the same but less quality this is a good way to save memory for other data.

this is a specified as a suffix to the name by syntax by either a dot or space that idicates the format for the computer file here are a few examples (.png , .jpeg , .exe , .dmg , and .txt)

to capture an image you can use one of the following scanner tablet/phone or a digital camera you can find the best by looking how many mega pixels it has also.


optomising
this is a term that can mean improving you creation and but to do that you need to know what these following are:

• target image output-the way you want it to be
• bit depth-this is so your image can be a small size to take up less memory a good one would be 8 or 16 bit.
• resolution - this can also help save memory with the file but you can loose picture quality of your image it is also important if you want to capture a image of high qulity you  will need a good enough device to do so.
• dimentions- the dimentions is good to no when your saving as if its 2d you can save to psd/jpeg but 3d would have to be pla.

storage of image assets
this is things that you can store on but you will need to know what to save it as and know what to call the file. for example i wold save this picture as
a jpeg because is an image and it being compressed will save memory.

this is a dot matrix data structure that is generally represented as on a pixel grid or colored points which you can only save in curtain  file formats for example: bmp, gif, tiff, jpg.

bmp-The BMP file format, also known as bitmap image 

gif- is a animated image which also be a static image aswell






tiff- is a lager image file than a jpg because it is not compressed and has better quality



jpg-is a compressed file image that can lose a little quality than a tiff

vector

a vector image is not made up of pixels its made up of different shapes and have quite good quality than what a image dose and you can save these in psd wmf pla and al

psd- this is a file format for the adobe program called photoshop


wmf- this is a 1990s windows vector file and it was made for small application


pla- this is a file format for 3d modeling usually designs for a archive
